The DNA testing companies emphasize bioregional (ethnicity) estimates in their marketing campaigns, but there is so much more to autosomal DNA than the pie chart! This talk will briefly address the benefits and limitations of bioregional estimates, but most of the presentation will focus on the more valuable part of the results—the DNA matches.
Karin Lovisa Borgerson is a professional genealogist specializing in using DNA to solve family mysteries. She holds a BA in biology and anthropology, an MBA, and has done graduate study in science, health, and environmental journalism.
